It’s more accessible, too. People with disabilities have more doors open to them if they are allowed to work from home – and parents and carers have more childcare flexibility. Theoretically, this technology was invented in 1973, but it wasn’t really able to be put into practice until 1995. It was supposed to be a way to save money on long-distance and international telephone charges. But it soon blossomed into a truly integral part of the modern working experience.
